Ingredients

  • London Dry Gin2 ounces
  • Maraschino Liqueur½ ounce
  • Crème de Violette¼ ounce
  • Fresh Lemon Juice¾ ounce
  • Brandied Cherry1 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled. Double-strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

Notes

Crème de violette gives the color and the name. Without it, the drink is technically a Fitzgerald. Soft hand on the violette — too much turns perfumed.
