Ingredients

  • London Dry Gin1½ ounces
  • Fresh Lemon Juice¾ ounce
  • Maraschino Liqueur½ ounce
  • Crème de Violette2 dashes

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled. Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

Notes

The Ensslin original. Slightly more vermouth-forward than the modern Aviation. Both are correct in their own contexts.
