Bennett

A Gimlet with attitude — gin, fresh lime, sugar, and a couple of dashes of bitters. The bitters are the whole difference, and they're a big one.

Ingredients

  • London Dry Gin2 ounces
  • Fresh Lime Juice¾ ounce
  • Simple Syrup½ ounce
  • Angostura Bitters2 dashes
  • Lime Wheel1 each

Directions

Shake gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and bitters with ice. Double-strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

A pre-Prohibition classic in the Savoy canon. Sharper and more aromatic than a plain Gimlet.
