Rye, dry vermouth, maraschino, Cynar. Chad Solomon at Pegu Club, 2006. A Brooklyn-family cocktail using Cynar.

Ingredients

  • Rye Whiskey2 ounces
  • Dry Vermouth¾ ounce
  • Maraschino Liqueur1 bar spoon
  • Cynar1 bar spoon
  • Lemon Twist1 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Notes

Part of the broader Brooklyn family — same Manhattan-with-amaro structure as the Greenpoint, but Cynar instead of yellow Chartreuse.
