Bobby Burns

Scotch, sweet vermouth, Bénédictine. Named for the Scottish poet. The Rob Roy with an upgrade.

Ingredients

  • Blended Scotch1½ ounces
  • Sweet Vermouth1½ ounces
  • Bénédictine½ ounce
  • Lemon Peel1 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe. Express a lemon peel and discard.

Notes

Quality blended Scotch (Famous Grouse, Monkey Shoulder) or a softer single malt. Bénédictine is what separates this from a Rob Roy.
