A spiced-rum sour with orange curaçao and a cinnamon-sugar rim — a Sidecar reimagined for the West Coast. House drink of the Starlight Room atop San Francisco.

Ingredients

  • Spiced Rum1½ ounces
  • Orange Curaçao¾ ounce
  • Fresh Lemon Juice¾ ounce
  • Simple Syrup¼ ounce
  • Orange Twist1 each
  • Cinnamon Sugar (rim)1 pinch

Directions

Rim a chilled coupe with cinnamon sugar. Shake spiced rum, orange curaçao, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice. Strain into the prepared coupe. Garnish with an orange twist.

Notes

Created in 1996 by Tony Abou-Ganim for the Starlight Room. The cinnamon-sugar rim is the signature; don't skip it.
