Chartreuse Swizzle

Green Chartreuse swizzled over crushed ice with pineapple, lime, and falernum. Herbal, frothy, and unmistakably its own thing — Chartreuse as a base, not an accent.

Ingredients

  • Green Chartreuse1¼ ounces
  • Pineapple Juice1 ounce
  • Fresh Lime Juice¾ ounce
  • Falernum½ ounce
  • Grated Nutmeg1 pinch

Directions

Add green Chartreuse, pineapple juice, lime juice, and falernum to a tall glass. Fill with crushed ice and swizzle with a swizzle stick until frosted. Top with more crushed ice and grate nutmeg over the top.

Notes

Created in 2002 by Marco Dionysos in San Francisco. The swizzle technique and crushed ice are essential to its texture.
