Clover Club

Gin, raspberry syrup, lemon, egg white. Pre-Prohibition pink cocktail from the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia. Came back through Brooklyn's Clover Club bar.

Ingredients

  • London Dry Gin2 ounces
  • Fresh Lemon Juice½ ounce
  • Raspberry Syrup½ ounce
  • Egg White1 each
  • Fresh Raspberries3 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Dry-shake 10 seconds. Add ice, shake 10 more. Double-strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with three raspberries on a pick.

Notes

Real raspberry syrup, not grenadine.
