Free Mojito

A Mojito rebuilt without rum — a mint-lime oleo carries the structure, then fresh lime and torn mint bring it back to life at the build. Bright, herbal, and not remotely flat.

Ingredients

  • Mint-Lime Oleo1 ounce
  • Fresh Lime Juice¾ ounce
  • Soda Water4 ounces
  • Mint Leaves8 each
  • Mint Bouquet1 each

Directions

Add mint-lime oleo and fresh lime juice to a tall glass with a few torn mint leaves. Fill with crushed ice and top with soda. Stir gently and garnish with a mint bouquet.

Notes

The technique is the point: a mint-lime oleo (mint and lime peels muddled with sugar) replaces what the rum's body and the muddled sugar used to do, and the fresh lime and mint at build provide the lift. This is the build that earns the name — not NA rum in limeade.
