- Angostura Bitters2 dashes
- Soda Water½ ounce
- Lemon Twist1 each
Directions
Stir cognac, sweet vermouth, and bitters with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe and add a splash of soda. Garnish with a lemon twist.

A turn-of-the-century classic from the Boston/New York hotel bars. The soda lifts it off the heaviness a straight brandy Manhattan can carry.
