Improved Mezcal Manhattan

Mezcal, sweet vermouth, maraschino, mole bitters. A Manhattan template with mezcal in place of rye. The mole bitters tie the smoke to the vermouth.

Ingredients

  • Mezcal Espadín2 ounces
  • Sweet Vermouth1 ounce
  • Maraschino Liqueur1 bar spoon
  • Bittermens Xocolatl Mole Bitters2 dashes
  • Brandied Cherry1 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

Notes

Use Carpano Antica. The Bittermens Xocolatl Mole Bitters are what makes this work — chocolate and smoke.
