Kingston Negroni

Jamaican rum, Campari, sweet vermouth. Joaquín Simó at Death & Co, 2010. The Negroni's funkiest cousin.

Ingredients

• Smith & Cross (or funky Jamaican rum)1 ounce
• Campari1 ounce
• Sweet Vermouth1 ounce
• Orange Peel1 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled. Strain over a large ice cube. Express an orange peel over and drop it in.

Notes

Use Smith & Cross or another funky overproof Jamaican rum. The hogo (funky ester aroma) pairs surprisingly well with Campari.
