Equal parts gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino, lime. Forgotten for 50 years, rediscovered by Murray Stenson at Seattle's Zig Zag Café in 2004.

Ingredients

  • London Dry Gin¾ ounce
  • Green Chartreuse¾ ounce
  • Maraschino Liqueur¾ ounce
  • Fresh Lime Juice¾ ounce

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled. Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

Notes

Green Chartreuse is the load-bearing ingredient. Yellow won't work. Originally from the Detroit Athletic Club, c. 1916.
