Ingredients

  • Blended Scotch2 ounces
  • Pineapple Juice1 ounce
  • Fresh Lemon Juice½ ounce
  • Simple Syrup¼ ounce
  • Absinthe1 dash

Directions

Shake Scotch, pineapple juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, and absinthe with ice. Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

A pre-Prohibition classic documented in early manuals. The pineapple-and-Scotch pairing is the surprise; absinthe ties it together.
