Mezcal, lime, ginger beer. The Moscow Mule's smoky cousin. A 2010s craft staple that's now permanent.

Ingredients

  • Mezcal Espadín2 ounces
  • Fresh Lime Juice½ ounce
  • Ginger Beer4 ounces
  • Lime Wheel1 each

Directions

Fill a copper mug with crushed or cubed ice. Add mezcal and lime. Top with ginger beer. Stir briefly. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

Quality espadín. Real ginger beer is critical — the spice plays against the smoke.
