Pomegranate Tea Punch

Pomegranate juice, hibiscus tea, lemon, cinnamon, ginger. A large-format Free Pour drink for parties — deep ruby, lightly spiced, structurally complex enough to satisfy a cocktail palate.

Pomegranate has been used in Persian, Levantine, and South Asian beverage traditions for over three thousand years. The combination of pomegranate and hibiscus comes from modern North African and Middle Eastern drink culture, where both ingredients are everyday refreshers. The 'party punch' format here is a Western framing of a tradition that's always been about hospitality and gathering.

  • Fresh Lemon Juice4 ounces
  • Simple Syrup3 ounces
  • Cinnamon Sticks2 each
  • Pomegranate Arils (garnish)1 each

Just before serving, add a block of ice. Float thin lemon wheels and pomegranate arils on the surface. Ladle into punch cups.

Notes

Use real pomegranate juice — POM Wonderful is the standard. Don't use 'pomegranate juice blend.' The hibiscus and cinnamon stick should be steeped together overnight for the best result.
