Reposado tequila, Campari, sweet and dry vermouth, Angostura. Gary Regan, Joy of Mixology, 1974. Effectively a Negroni made with tequila.

Ingredients

  • Reposado Tequila1½ ounces
  • Campari½ ounce
  • Sweet Vermouth½ ounce
  • Dry Vermouth½ ounce
  • Angostura Bitters1 dash
  • Lemon Twist1 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled. Strain over a large ice cube. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Notes

Stirred not shaken. Equal parts vermouth (one of each) is what makes this distinct from a Mezcal Negroni.
