Aged rum, demerara, bitters, orange peel. The Old Fashioned applied to rum. Works because aged rum has the caramel-vanilla depth.

- Aged Rum2 ounces
- Demerara Syrup1 teaspoon
- Angostura Bitters2 dashes
- Orange Peel1 each
Directions
Add demerara syrup and bitters to a rocks glass. Add a large ice cube and the rum. Stir until well-chilled. Express an orange peel over and drop it in.

Quality aged rum (Plantation O.F.T.D., El Dorado 12).
