Sherry Cobbler

Sherry, sugar, orange, fresh fruit. 1850s American — the drink that popularized drinking with a straw. Refreshing, low-ABV, fruit-forward.

Ingredients

  • Amontillado Sherry3 ounces
  • Orange Slices2 each
  • Simple Syrup½ ounce
  • Fresh Berries3 each
  • Mint Sprig1 each

Directions

Muddle orange slices and sugar in a shaker. Add sherry and ice. Shake briefly. Pour unstrained into a goblet filled with crushed ice. Garnish with seasonal berries and a mint sprig.

Notes

Use Amontillado or Oloroso sherry. Muddled orange and fresh seasonal fruit. Heap with crushed ice.
