Stinger

Cognac and white crème de menthe. Two ingredients, served on crushed ice. The drink that proved minty can be sophisticated.

Ingredients

  • Cognac VSOP2½ ounces
  • White Crème de Menthe½ ounce
  • Mint Sprig1 each

Directions

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake briefly. Strain over crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.

Notes

White crème de menthe — green changes the color. Quality matters; cheap stuff tastes like toothpaste.
