A Mai Tai split between mezcal and rum — the tiki template with a smoky shadow running through it. Lime, orgeat, and curaçao keep it classic.

Ingredients

  • Mezcal1 ounce
  • Aged Rum1 ounce
  • Fresh Lime Juice¾ ounce
  • Orange Curaçao½ ounce
  • Orgeat½ ounce
  • Mint Sprig1 each

Directions

Shake mezcal, aged rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, and orgeat with ice. Pour over crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and a spent lime shell.
