Calvados, Bénédictine, yellow Chartreuse, Angostura. George Kappeler, 1895. Possibly the most herbal cocktail in regular rotation. Dense, complex, autumnal.

- Calvados1½ ounces
- Bénédictine½ ounce
- Yellow Chartreuse½ ounce
- Angostura Bitters2 dashes
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe.
Notes
Equal parts of the herbal liqueurs with calvados as base. Stir long, serve cold.
