A rum sour built on honey and bitters — aged rum, lime, honey syrup, and Angostura. Funky, warm, and easygoing.

Ingredients

  • Aged Rum2 ounces
  • Fresh Lime Juice¾ ounce
  • Honey Syrup½ ounce
  • Angostura Bitters2 dashes
  • Lime Wheel1 each

Directions

Shake aged rum, lime juice, honey syrup, and bitters with ice. Double-strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

A pre-Prohibition rum drink documented in early manuals. A funky Jamaican or aged rum makes it sing.
