Aged rhum agricole, Demerara rum, lime, orange, falernum, honey, allspice dram, bitters. Don the Beachcomber, 1941. The name is Morse code for V — victory.

Ingredients

  • Aged Rhum Agricole1½ ounces
  • Demerara Rum½ ounce
  • Fresh Lime Juice½ ounce
  • Fresh Orange Juice½ ounce
  • Velvet Falernum½ ounce
  • Honey Syrup (1:1)½ ounce
  • Allspice Dram¼ ounce
  • Angostura Bitters1 dash
  • Brandied Cherries3 each
  • Pineapple Leaf1 each

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice. Shake briefly. Pour unstrained into a tiki mug. Garnish with three cherries on a pick and a pineapple leaf.

Notes

Multi-rum, multi-modifier classic tiki. The garnish — three cherries and a pineapple leaf — visually spells out the Morse code.
